Podcast Learning Network

I’m usually more comfortable writing about the news than being the news, but I’m excited to announce the launch of this new initiative for the Faculty of Humanities at Brock University!

The Podcast Learning Network (PLN) will bring together podcasters (and podcast-interested folks!) from across the Brock community for learning and collaboration. I will be facilitating panel discussions and bringing in guest speakers to talk about various aspects of podcasting over the coming academic year.

New network to build podcasting capacity at Brock

I’m in the unique position of working in the same Faculty I’m studying in and of having my PhD research overlap with my work– as well as having the support of wonderful faculty, fellow colleagues, and my Dean to make something like this happen!

I am also grateful to fellow podcasters like John Heckman (Tattooed Historian), Christine Caccipuoti (Footnoting History) and Aven McMaster (Endless Knot Podcast), among others, for their willingness to share their experiences and knowledge in our upcoming panels. I’m still in the process of confirming guest speakers and panelists and will be updating the PLN website as things are confirmed.
